Art Classes in an Art Museum - CSMART provides quality, challenging classes for adults and children taught by experienced artists. Our classes include ceramics, techniques in drawing and painting, animation and video art, and green art exploration. Many of our students have gone on to pursue their education and careers in the fine arts. Our children's camps provide instruction to over 1000 kids a year. $50 scholarships are offered to kids who are in need of financial assistance.

ArtREACH - The Museum supplements or completely provides art education to area schools. CSMART realized that many school are not able to cover the cost of transporting their students to the Museum, so we travel to them. . CSMART is targeting Broward County schools that are Title 1 schools or schools that have eliminated their art education program due to budgetary cuts. $210 providing art education and supplies to 30 students for one session.

Fieldtrips - Broward County school students come to the Museum to develop an appreciation and understanding of the fine arts. Our tours encourage critical thinking and participation. The Museum helps students see how art relates to their school curriculum and life experiences. The Museum encounter a number of area schools that are very interested in bringing their students, but can neither afford the cost of admission or transportation costs. CSMART would like to financially assist these schools with their Museum fieldtrips. The schools are charged $4/student for the Museum visit and their transportation charges are approximately $8/student.

Family Fun Days - This is highly successful program that brings together families in purposeful and creative activities all in the museum setting. Family Fun Days are scheduled once a month. The Museum attracts about 40 to 50 families every month for this event. Family Fun Days costs the Museum $350 per session, including art instruction and art supplies. This provides art activity for approximately 100 participants.

Creativity Center - In the traditional museum setting, children are limited by the "do not touch" mentality in experiencing art. Also, younger patrons are required to keep library like behavior with limited talk and movement. CSMART's Creativity Center is a hands-on, interactive area that is appropriately modified to reflect the changing exhibits at the museum. The Creativity Center has a number of activity stations designed to stimulate the imagination and discussion. After touring the museum, adults and kids are given the opportunity to create artwork themed on the exhibits in the museum. CSMART provides the art activity and all of its supplies. These projects give children the chance to express what they have experienced from the museum. The Creativity Center gives adults and children a forum to discuss the artwork and work on projects together. The Creativity Center costs the Museum $200 per month to create and replenish original activities for patrons to work on.

Chalk It Up for Art!! - A street painting festival, open to participation from the general public and professional arts. The next festival is scheduled for January 26, 2013. CSMART decided to create this event as an avenue to introduce and engage the community to the fine arts using a medium that does not require significant time and monetary investment. It was felt that chalk art was something that the majority of potential participants would be least apprehensive of trying out for the first time. Also, CSMART observed nationally, successful community participation rates at similar events. Various sponsorship levels are available.

The Great Art Affair - The Great Art Affair Gala is the Museum's major fundraising event of the year to raise significant funds for the Museum's amazing exhibitions and public programs. This event is arranged through the efforts Friends of the Museum, a dynamic and committed to support of the fines arts in our community.
